Importing survey data to RE

We have 600 survey results from surveymonkey. Can someone share the best way to save responses and/or simply tag survey respondants into the main database?

Thanks,

We did a survey and used an attribute to indicate who got the survey and whether or not they completed it. Any notable responses were added to notes, but most were just kept in a separate file.

  • I'm getting ready to send out a survey and it hadn't occurred to me to pull participation data into RE.  It'll be on a topic unrelated to fundraising but important to our students' families so it will be nice to track who participates.  Thank you!

Thank you for all the responses. My next question is how do I get the survey data into the main database, without entering them one-by-one. Do I create a batch? Import records using the globally change function? My data is in an excel spreadsheet at the moment. I can map data by last name, class and const ID plus a field with personal responses.

  • Use Admin > Import.  Test first with a short list of records and be sure you have a backup of your database.
