I'm trying to merge org records where both records have LO IDs and I keep getting an error message. Is this unique to me or is this something that can't be done?

    merging is a challenge between Raisers Edge and LO. When merging in RE, I typically merge towards the account with the active Luminate Record.

    Hi Christine,


    What exactly is the error message you receive? If I have orgs to merge in RE, I usually manually merge whatever portion of the record that needs to be merged (most times its the gifts tab) and then delete the org record that I no longer want. I know it's more work, but I'm a bit weary a allowing the system to merge and delete records automatically.

    It is my understanding that an Organization records created in LO do not come down in the connector. The same as organization records do not sync up to LO. I would find out how they have LO IDs. You will not be able to merge them with LO IDs because Luminate is search for the record and can't find it.

    I suppose I should ask if you only have LO or are you trying to merge the records somewhere else? As Patti says, Orgs DO NOT flow through to the plug in and LO does NOTallow you to merge records. LO focuses on the individual donor, not the organization. If you are trying to merge the org records outside of LO, I'd contact support to find out why the records won't merge.
