Needing info on Luminate?

I can answer a couple of these. We have not used Online Express.

Can donors update their own email and bio information through Luminate?

Answer: Yes.


How is the data integration with Raiser's Edge?

Answer: There is a connector that syncs data between the two systems. We have a very old connector and are moving to the ImportOmatic one in the next 2 months. We looked at RE-LO (Blackbauds solution) and ImportOmatic and ImportOmatic gave us more options to sync data.


Does Luminate require cloud-hosted Raiser's Edge?

Answer: No, but eventually I think RE will be cloud-based (see: RE NXT)

I can help with the event question. Luminate Online does not have the same capabilities as Online Express for events. We actually use Luminate Online for everything EXCEPT for events. We use Online Express only for events because Luminate Online does not ask for each registrant's name if you select an option with multiple registrants, and it also does not have an option to send an email notification to our events manager when someone registers. Because of these two missing components, we aren't able to use Luminate Online for our events, which is really disappointing for us.


That being said, we don't feel that Online Express can offer us everything Luminate Online can in the other areas such as donation pages and emails. For that reason, we feel like Luminate Online is worth the expense and effort to utitlize both solutions for the time being. Our hope is that eventually they will add these two features to Luminate Online so that we can stop using Online Express.
