  • Robert Addis:

    Hello Danielle,

My name is Rob and I am the National Business Intelligence Coordinator for the Canadian Hadassah-Wizo organization in Toronto.

I have been working with Blackbaud products for many years as an Admin/Consutlant and now this latest title, and If you still need help I would be more than happy to assist.

    Rob.

Hi Rob - thanks for the offer. We have decided to stop using the Event Module and go back to using 3rd party products. The technology in this area has come leaps and bounds since the Event Module was built (it would seem) and the products available (like Evenbrite) are just far superior. Thank you though!

  • Hello, Canadians.  I am in dialgoue with Blackbaud about their Target Analytics Services.  I wuold welcome the opportunity to talk with others who have used this service.  I am interested in cost, value, perceived value to administrators.

Does anybody have experience with TA?

    Thanks.
  • Hi all,

My name is Bailey and I work with Roots of Empathy in Toronto. I have been the part-time Database Coordinator since April and I love this work and the organization I work with.

So far the majority of my work has been assessing the eTapestry database that exists and figuring out how to increase buy-in for a system that has existed for a long time but hasn't been used well in over 5 years because it fell out of a specific job description.

I am also working with the Communications department to relaunch our newsletter this summer and assist with their social media duties when I have a chance.

  • Hey Everyone,

I'm Carmen Cliff, Database Coordinator for the Covenant Foundation - formerly Caritas Foundation in Edmonton AB.

I have been here a year and a half, and am the sole operator of the Raiser's Edge database. I also have experience with RE stemming back from previous Database positions at the Alberta Diabetes Foundation and the Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation. I am under the direction of the Finance Department, as we work very closely together (Raisers and Financial Edge)

I'd love to connect with some other local Canadian users. Our Foundation is different in the way that we do things; we fundraise for 15 different facilities all over Alberta. Our methods of donation processing, coding, and stewardship are unique, but workable with what we do.

  • Hi Carmen, My name is Rosie Kirton and I work for Bird Studies Canada (www.birdscanada.org). Our headquarters is in Ontario but we have Regional offices all across the country. We also use Raiser's Edge for membership and a variety of other projects that we've had to adapt to the program over the years. This is my 24th year using Raiser's Edge and it has definitely come along way since the original version of DOS.

    Hi Carmen,

I'm also in Edmonton: at The King's University. I have been in the Development office for 8 and a half years, working with the Raiser's Edge. I am the Development Information Coordinator, so I set the standards for the system, provide training, pull/write reports, lists & queries and whatnot. We are hoping to transition to NXT, but we are not yet hosted and we are waiting for Blackbaud to be able to sign a legal agreement that will keep our data in Canada, like the sales people told us. We are a small university, but we also provide Raiser's Edge and administrative support for our Foundation (which is its own entity), so I'd be interested in hearing how you keep things straight with fundraising for different facilities.

  • Holly Herbert:
I'd love to help our Canadian users start to connect with each other. Please take a minute to post some basic info about yourself - where you work, what you do, etc.

Once this list fills out a bit, make sure you're connecting with each other through friend requests so you can continue to build a local network of supportive colleagues.

    Hi,

I'm located in Toronto, Ontario at Environmental Defence. I am the main database administrator for Raiser's Edge.  Let me know if you would like to connect.

  • Hi, I work at the Saskatoon City Hospital Foundation in Saskatoon.  I have been working with RE for over 20 years.  I am also the database administrator here.

    Thanks

    Marlene

  • Hello everyone,

My name is Michelle Collins and I am the Information and Database Specialist with the Ronald McDonald House in Hamilton, ON. I have been with this organization for 1.5 years, but my RE experience spans 10 years and several different national charities. In my current role, I work under the Finance department and focus primarily on gift entry and revenue reconciliation. I still love a good query challenge, and love that challenge even more when I can produce a pivot report to show you the results. I'd love to connect with other Canadian RE users, especially those in Hamilton or Halton region.

    Michelle
