Why is my message not being approved for setting up delivery?

Options

We have created a stationary that has an unsubscribe link. I just created a new email message using that stationary, but when I try to approve it and scheduled delivery, it says the message can't be approved because there is no unsubscribe link in the body of the email.

    Joanna,

Can you share the code of the unsubsribe link in your stationary? Can you also share what stationary you're using the email you're trying to approve? I'll take a look at it.

I want to use different stationary to the default but it doesn't have it.

I want to use the stationary for the autoresponder.

    Hi Kent,

I am also having an issue - we were provided some very nice stationary to use in our welcome series, but I would also like to use the autoresponder stationary, which does not have an unsubscrive option.

Do you know how can I add one?

    Hi Lucas,

As a best practice, I would reommend keeping your autoresponder and regular stationary separate. If you like your autoresponder stationary, I would make a copy of it and then modify that one. To add the unsubscribe link, select the "Unsubscribe" text in your stationary and then use the WYSIWYG editor to add a link. Browse Luminate Online Links > Email > Unsubscribe will add the unsubscribe link.

Let me know if that helps.

Why should autoresponder and regular stationery be separate if they are the same design? Also, I have the same problem and have to manually add in the unsbuscribe into the html of the body even though it's in the stationery case itself.

  • Hi Joanna,

Do you have an unsubscribe link in the plain-text version as well?

    Thanks,

    Phil
  • Help please.  I have an unsubscribe link within the body of the email and it is in the wrapper as well.  Can you look at my link to see why I am unable to get the email approved?  We are already 3 days behind the goal of sending this out and we continue to have issues within Luminate.  Please advise,  Thank you.

  • Hi Jackie Jockheck‍,

Ha! I commented on this thread already. :-)

    Hi Jackie Jockheck‍,

I think you can get by with one unsubscribe link. Just the one that links here:

Do you have an unsubscribe link in the plain-text version? That could be where LO is looking.

    Let us know!

As to your last, Jackie, I think you really *don't* want an unsubscribe link in an autoresponder; that's the email people who've given a donation, or signed up for an event, or answered a form/survey are receiving - that means they nearly certainly are getting other emails from you (the donation ask, the event invitation, the survey request) and should unsubscribe, if they've a mind to do so, from one of those. I'm pretty sure, anyway, that's the BB/LO thinking.
