Exporting Interfund information from fund record in RE

Options
We need to verify that we have entered the correct Interfund codes on the GL tab in all of our funds.  There is no way to query that field, but Blackbaud says there is a way to export it.  Does anyone have any knowledge of how to do that?

  • You can run a report to get this.  In Reports --> Financial Reports --> Account Distribution Report.

This won't give you project numbers if you use those with Financial Edge, but it does give you  the GL Account numbers, both the credit and debit.  It is really slick.  This particular one does not have the interfund difference, but we do have them in our database.  01 to 02, etc.

Thanks, Denise.  But we need to actually see what Interfund option was selected on the GL tab when the fund was set up in RE.  That's the piece I can't get to easily, at least not without opening every fund individually and looking at it---ugh!

  • Got it.  Can you do a fund query?  I looked at query and export and you can't actually output the interfund field itself (01-02) that I can see, but you can run a fund query and output all the credits and debits and see the interfund for each line...

If this won't do it for you, I would go back and ask support.

Query - where the Interfund is visislbe in the account numbers, first two digits (02-01)

My fund query is only one fund, but you can have multiple funds and then just sort on Fund ID.

That shows me all the funds that SHOULD have an interfund entry (which in our case is about 700+), but doesn't show me if we entered them or not.  Blackbaud's answer was "there should be a way to export that....."  Not helpful!!  It's amazing to me that a standard field on a record isn't query-able!

Thanks for the suggestions----I appreciate it!
