Pin event on your personal calendar

Options
When sending an Email blast to a specific list, is there any way that the recipients can pin the Event on their personal calendar like Microsoft Outlook calendar. I know that Punchbowl offers that service but is there any way to do it with NetCommunity?

Thank you in advance,

    Hey Maude,

I spoke with the BBNC team - would you mind adding this to our ideas section? https://community.blackbaud.com/products/netcommunity/ideas

    Thank you!

We have been able to create an .ics file (either through Microsoft Outlook's inherent event creation process or a 3rd party website) and then link to this file via an "Add to Calendar" button in the outbound email HTML. Clicking on this button then launches the end user's default calendar application and allows them to save the event to their calendar. Unfortunately, in some instances, we have found that if the recipient's security settings are too high, clicking on the "Add to Calendar" button will not work, so it bears testing the process internally before sending a mass email to your constituents.
