Is data from Luminate Beta real-time?

Just a quick question if the data being pulled for the Luminate Beta analysis is real time or not? (I certainly hope it is)

Do i need to refresh/update the statistics for an email campaign, for example, for the dashboard to show the latest data?

    Data being pulled into Luminate BETA is not real-time. There is some delay. From earlier last year is was refreshed nightly. I think that has improved though.

    I'm the Product Manager leading these business intelligence features for Luminate. Short answer is Phil is correct though we are down to about 12 hours now for most cases and we're looking to decrease that over time as we optimize the system.


    Here's the detail behind the delay if you are interested:


    SKY Reporting Dashboards and Visualizations are powered by a database that specializes in multi-dimensional, in-depth, and visual business intelligence reporting that we made sure can scale with your organization's data size no matter how big or small your data is. This is a best practice of big data industry leaders who manage data volumes of our size when providing these features. For our users this means you receive much faster results on comparative, analytical, and aggregated numbers/data to help you make key decisions, faster and on larger data sets from your campaigns, programs, and your organization as a whole.



    Because data needs to be moved to this analytics specialized database there will be difference of a few hours between the data you see in Luminate Current Gen and Luminate Beta. In most instances the difference in data between systems doesn't affect the high level trends significantly and are outweighed by the performance and features an analytic specialized data store allows us to provide you (like comparative analytics, interactive dashboards, and (soon to come this year) a visualization and dashboard builder). The detailed up-to-the minute transaction data is also still available in your Luminate Current Gen if the difference in data is important for those other specific use cases.



    In Luminate Beta Reporting, for 90+% of the time, the data is updated within 12 hours, however in circumstances such as an initial client onboarding, extremely large data import, or during End-of-Year it can take up to 24 hours for the larger wave of data to fully populate through the system. Over time we are working to reduce this delay from 12 hours to as short a time as possible as we continue to optimize these new capabilities.
