Question About RE Mobile

Does anyone use RE Mobile? Can you add Notes and Actions while in it? How is the new update?

That's three questions, I guess! We are thinking of implementing it again, but haven't used it since the upgrade.

Amy, are you referring to NXT or the RE mobile app itself? I an always adding notes and actions into NXT on my phone, but have not tried the RE Mobile app yet.

Hi Amy,

The RE Mobile 3.0 is definitely an improvement over the old version. They are still making changes to it so it is only going to get better.

The login screen will take user right to their actions and they can see what is overdue and due within the next 7 days. Actions and notes are easy to add and like the old version very easy for reaching out to constituents using the app. The profile is more detailed and the help feature on each screen lets users know exactly what they are looking at such as what gifts are considered in the lifetime giving.

One can still only search on first and last names, we are hoping for changes in that area. It is available for iPhone and iPad. Last I heard the Android version was not yet available. If you have Android users they can still use the older version.

So it seems that the 3.0 version is available in the GoogleStore for android. But the setup screen asks for a username and a system key to add an account. How do these fields correspond with logins from the browser versions of NXT or RE?

We use mobile for RE 7.95 and it's a good though small change. We can add actions which is a huge deal. It's slightly more aesthetically user friendly. On downsides you still can't access deceased or inactive records.

Thanks for the news! They released the apple version first and I had been waiting to hear when the play store would have it too! I'm downloading it right now.

As to how to get the key for RE 7.96 or lower (don't need this for NXT) here is the knowledgebase article. This article addresses both hosted and non hosted environments.

Rachel it is true you still can't search on inactive. This was requested in the EAP and I hope it is one of the items they will work on. Here is a link to a suggestion in the idea bank.
