Can You Turn off Auto Matching Gift Pledge

Hello!

I might have the termonology incorrect but last week I was doing some gift entry as our gift processor was out and was in a gift batch and a pop up box came up with matching gift information because there was a business relationship for that donor

We want to shut off this option

Can we? If so how?

I tried looking under Business Rules but didn't see anything

I did this by unchecking the MG box on Org1 for all records. When we do have a MG we need to record, I just have to remember to uncheck the box in the Search Window to search all org records, rather than only those that are marked as matching gift orgs. (Because we don't record the match until we either get the check or get some sort of communication from the org that a match is coming.)

Hey there, Joanne!

We can shut this off in the relationship for the Organization on the Constituent's record as follows:

From the donor's Constituent record, select the Relationships tab
Double-click on the Matching Gift company's Organization Relationship record
Select the General 2 tab
Unmark the "[Organization] matches gift from [Constituent]" checkbox
Click Save and Close
