Report for tracking giving society levels

We have a giving society with different levels. We are tracking this with an attribute. We do not have the Membership module.
We are looking for a  way to identify when  a donor moves from one level to another.  I was wondering if anyone has written a report for this purpose and how you went about it.

I utilize the Donor Category Report.  If a person(s) or org moves to the next level it automatically will move them there.  I do not babysit/manage giving levels in Attributes or anywhere else, don't have the time and/or people power.

Just to add onto Marie's response, you can tell RE how to define your giving societies unter the Donor Category Config > Tables. You have up to three tables you can configure. When you run your Donor Category Report, it will ask you which of the three tables you would like to use. 

 

You can actually configure more than 3 donor category tables (we're on 7.93).  We currently utilize 6 different tables.
