Auto Charge Recurring Gifts

This is a feature not available in RE:7's EFT Module.  It is the biggest negative on my list when we moved from another vendor to Online Express/EFT.  I'm hopeful that there will at least be something in place soon so that RE can remind me (or other Users) to run the charges.  I'd prefer reminders via RE rather than relying on a reminder in Outlook.  Ultimately, I'd like to see RE run those recurring charges automatically...especially if that's already the case in other BB products.

We had a product demo for Luminate last week, and one of the things that they mentioned is that Luminate will auto charge the constitutent for their monthly recurring charge. Currently we use Raiser's Edge 7 and I was wondering if there was a way to set that up in Raiser's Edge, or is that a new feature in Luminate. I have heard that E-Tapestry allows you to set up the auto charge, so I'm hoping RE does too.

It's not a new feature in Luminate Online, it's a carry-over from when LO was Convio.  Their Sustainer program has always run the monthly charges automatically.  The LO Service Center also lets the donor access their gift info and update, hold or cancel the gift.  We like the self-service aspect of it, so we are using an offline donation form to direct more of our monthly recurring donors to LO for processing.  
We're on RE7 so we don't have any automation in our Recurring Gift processing there.  I don't know if RE-NXT has improved that process.
