Hello!


I have set up an appeal under approaches. I would like to know if there is a way to:


1. Attach documents to the approach

2. Track our expenditures for the approach

    Hello Aurora!


    1. Documents can be attached to transactions, contacts, and notes. Transactions will have a drop down to select the approach, and attachments can be added to the transaction by selecting the gray Attachments tab on the right and browsing for the file. If you have a document that isn't monetarily related, you can attach the document to a contact or note. Contacts or Notes do not have a way to select an Approach, but the Approach can be named in the Contact Subject line or added to the note section. Contact Subject lines and note texts can both be queried on.


    2. You can track expenditures for the approach by using disbursements. https://www.blackbaud.com/support/howto/coveo/etapestry/ETAPDisbursements.html Disbursements are journal entries that are used to track fees, expenses, and payments made from the organization. An account can be created for just disbursements for your organization

    Adding to what Morgan said already, I would recommend uploading any attachments for the appeal that you want to share with other users at your organization in the User Manual section of eTap. Click the ? icon in the upper right to locate this section. This is where you might post things like procedures or best practices that you want other users to follow, so I think your appeal information would live perfectly here!

    Also, we have a Standard Report that will put your disbursements to work so that you can see expenses for that Approach. Run the Approach Analysts Report and you'll get stats like Cost Per Dollar Raised, Net Income, etc.. You can find this under Reports>eTapestry Standard Reports>Executive Reports.
