Address Finder Users logged in

Options
I'm getting set to implement changes from Address Finder for the first time. The instructions say all users must be logged out. Anyone know what will happen if they're not? I only have about 450 changed addresses... If I do this via interactive, will they need to log out? Thanks in advance!

I've never had to log everyone out to run AddressFinder.  We're still on 7.93 so I don't know if it might be necessary for a newer version.

Thanks, I'm thinking it's probably for open records, or for performance issues in huge databases or lots of updates. I'm going to buck the system and go for it! (tomorrow...)

  • It's not having folks being logged in per se that's the problem - It's having folks in the records that you want to update that's the issue.

If no one else is logged in then there's no chance of a record being opened that you want.

If you do it interactively or automated, you will face the same problem.  You'll just have to keep track of which records you couldn't update, so that you can go back to them later on.
