How can you globally mark phones as Inactive?

Options
Prior to my RE 7.95 upgrade, I went through all our phone numbers and for inactive phones I changed the phone type to "xxxx-Inactive".

Now in 7.95, I want to mark all phones with the "xxxx-Inactive" phone types and check them as Inactive.

I can't actually figure out how to do this -- can anyone help?

  • SORRY figured it out - I just needed to create an export file, find all the xxxx-Inactive phones and change the Inactive from FALSE to TRUE, and then reimport.

3,000+ records done in a flash!!

  • You can also do this using the Mark phones Primary plugin.  Create a query and then you can choose to mark them inactive.  Alot easier than in export/import.

  • Shalena - Yes, I didn't know about the plug-in when I did this using import.  Subsequently I've used the plug-in and it is much simpler.

I just wish they'd adjust the name of the plug-in -
    • It's currently named 'Mark Phones Primary' but it also marks Phones as inactive as well.
    • So would be great if it was called 'Mark Phones Primary/Inactive'.
