Donation Tribute Data- "Mail a letter on my behalf"

When allowing for a tribute on a donation form the checkbox labeled "mail a letter on my behalf" appears. Where does this data end up once the transaction is processed in Raiser's Edge? Is there a specific field that I must include in my RE batch set up in order to see whether or not this box was checked?

  • The checkbox sounds like it might be a gift attribute.  All of the tribute card mailing information and the honoree/memorial name come into RE from NetCommunity through gift attributes.
  • Yep, sounds like you have the Tribute module:  when you open a record, does it have Honour/Memorial on one of the tabs?  If yes, then you do!  If not, then someone has cleverly crafted a Donation Form.  :)


    It should come over to your batch as one of the myriad NetCommunity attributes - we have a "Comments" box that does the same thing!  I can't tell you exactly which one it will be, without looking at your RE system but all information that the user enters into the Donation Form will transfer to Batch when you process those gifts in Batch!  It may look like standard gibberish SQL for the field name, but you will see the information entered just as the user typed it in, and then you will understand WHAT/WHERE/WHY the information is being placed where it is in the system.  :)
