Data entry for peer to peer fundraising in RE or TeamRaiser

Hi - we are moving to RE7 from Sage FR100, and have Luminate Online & TeamRaiser for our online giving. We are currently reviewing the data entry process for peer to peer event fundraisers in RE vs doing it through TeamRaiser (as I know others out there are doing). We are looking for any feedback, tips or tricks from anyone out there using RE7 & Luminate Online/TeamRaiser.

    We are just getting started with TR but our process is going to be that all data management stays in RE. If there are specific gifts that came to our office through the mail, etc. but need to be included in one of our P2P campaigns, we'll manually enter it, but that's the only time we would do data entry into TR. Any reports or lists will be run from RE to make sure everything is thorough.


    I know Luminate Online can do a lot more constituent management than that but I think it's just easier to make sure that everyone knows that RE is still the main database. I'm hoping to avoid any "but I entered it in TR" issues when things don't balance.

    I agree with Amy.  We utilize the peer-to-peer fundraising side of TR and accept donations through LO (which are later downloaded into RE using the RELO plugin).  As for sending out emails or any other feature of TR, we do not utilize.  We have found that it is best to keep everything in one place, so all data is managed in RE.
