Event Registration

Please Help with this annoying feature!!!  I have one registrant. That one registrant chooses 3 activities that she would like to attend and pay for. It seems the way the form is set up, that my one registrant has to fill out the registrant fields and the attribute fields 3 times. This is a really good way to annoy our constituents!!!! We have over 300 alumnae registering for reunion activities many of which are free and they have to fill out their name and address for each activitiy.  I am sure that many, many schools are frustrated by this.  Please fix ASAP.

  • It also is a HUGE issue with NetCommunity too.... we had to get creative for our Registration language because buying a table of 10 for our annual Gala meant you had to fill in 10 attendees' names, emails, dietary preference, etc. and the drop-down menu was seriously, like a scene from Dante's Inferno...  "how many levels do we need to goo~oooooooo...."

If you were logged into your NetC account, it made auto-fill a tiny bit easier, but what if you are NOT bringing your kids or anyone currently in your Relationships tab to the event?  What if the registrant is actually the E.A. and she doesn't know who is allergic to nuts or her executive's third cousin's wife's name... and the Registration countdown is timing out! *cue panic*

I understand why BB is trying to give us this functionality, but if it's not the best fit for that event, at that time, it's such a pain to work around it...
  • Agreed! This has been an inconvenient feature for us as well! Our best workaround was to "get creative", as Joy puts it, with our registration form set-up. For the Reunion, we try to set up "registration packages" such as

Reunion + 1 night stay - single person

    Reunion + 1 night stay - couple

Reunion + 2 night stay - single person

    Reunion + 2 night stay - couple

so each registrant only has to select one button. Even with that, we still ended up this year with 2 separate registration forms (one for the Reunion and one for the overnight accomodations) just to keep things sane.
