Recurring Gift Options in Online Express

There have been several OLX updates since your post, so maybe this was one of the changes.  I kept meaning to go look at this, as we haven't offered the annual option before.


Now, when I go in to add that option, I can click [Add Another Gift Date] on that window, and set 12 different dates.  I run recurring gifts on the 10th of the month, so I can set 12 dates of the 10th of each month.  When I go out to the live Donation Page and check [Make This a Recurring Gift], select Annually, and then I can select which month I want to give in.  Below the options is a statement that gives the exact date of the next gift, including year.


I wish that that statement of "Your first gift will occur on 9/10/2016" would actually say "Your first gift will occur on or around 9/10/2016" or "Your first gift will occur on the nearest business day to 9/10/2016" or "Your first gift will occur on between 9/8/2016 and 9/12/2016".  Since I have to manually initiate the EFT process and when the 10th falls on a weekend (as in this example, when 9/10 is a Saturday) or a holiday, it's inconvenient or not possible to do this on the actual date stated.


Back to the options provided for Annual gifts.  It would be nice if the second dropdown would default to the next date.  So in my test, I choose Annually and it shows "September 10" automatically.  Yesterday, it would have shown "August 10" automatically.  Less clicking and thinking for the donor.  More like it is for Quarterly, where it starts with the next processing date (per what you've set in OLX) and you're done.


I'll try to find time this evening to look in the OLX Idea Bank for related ideas and vote/add then link to them in this thread.  If you've come up with the answer or a workaround, please share.  Because I'm thinking an Annual option would be a good one for us to offer.
