How to output summary of Gifts for two time periods in export?

I notcied in a query you can output a summary of total giving for multiple time periods, but when I try to export the query there is no way to output those same fields within the export. Am I just missing a step?

With your query, you group together the records that you then take to the Export function. In Export, you essentially start over choosing all the fields you want to export. And there you can pick the gift summary field multiple times. I'm not in RE right now but I believe at the top right there's a link to explain using the same field multiple times. You highlight summary info field name in output and then go back to choices and choose gift field again and set your criteria.

Thanks. I found the link you were talking about and it says you cannot set a new set of parameters for a gift within an export. Looks like I'll just have to use my query and de-dup manually.

You can have the summary field exported multiple times. I do it on a regular basis to show past giving.
