Guidance on Creating a Lapsed Donor Campaign

Where can I find infomration on creating a lapsed donor email campaign? Ideally, I want to send three messages, but if someone donates after the first message, I don't want them to receive the other emails. The initial data will be coming in from RE since we are new to Luminate. How do I set that up?

    When you set up the message delivery, you can "select groups to exclude from the mailing". Under group type you will find "donation groups". find the donation page you are using for the campaign and select it.  


    Another option would be to create a donation campaign and in step 3, "specify groups and notifications" you can automatically add any donor to that campaign to a new group. Then you can exclude that group from the mailings.


    A third option would be to create a query based on "Transaction information" -> "last transaction date" and then set that date to the last 30 days or something like that. Then create a group that updates daily during your campaign. Exclude this group of recent givers from your email sends. 


    You might want to include a note at the bottom of the email saying something like, "According to our records your last donation of $XXX was given on Date. If we’ve made a mistake, please let us know."


    I found that sometimes supporters gave gifts under different emails / spouses, or through a different landing page that didn't put them in the right group. so having this language helped diffuse any concerns donors had with the campaign.
