Want to email Constituent and Relationship records in one blast

I would like to be able to send a blast that goes to both primary constituents and their spouse relationships, but not always to both. 

So something like this:   Spouse Relationship Jane smith Bill Doe
Email Highlighted
Primary

Constituent
John Smith
Jill doe
I've tried to pair down our number of email types to 4 and, aside from Education or Business, have them be not specific to the record type (primary or spouse).  I know that if I developed an "Email Primary" and "Email Spouse" type, I'd be able to accomplish this, but is there another workaround I'm missing?  


Also, can Spark accomplish this in a way OE can't?

    Are you intending for this to be a one-time message, or an on-going list?  And will this be your "master" list or will you sometimes want to include different addresses in a list?


    My initial thinking would be to (depending on your answers) create a new Phone Type and duplicate the desired address to that Phone Type.  Then, not only does it not matter what other addresses are on the record, how many Phone Types you have, or whether the addresses is on the HOH/Constituent Record or the Spouse/Relationship Record, you can use the list and push the data to the Appeals Tab.  You can also use Additional Addressees/Salutations for OLX and that allows for personalizing to the correct person (provided you set this up on the Constituent Records).


    Regardless, OLX (or any system) needs to know what address to use, in simple terms.


    I have no experience with Spark, but I don't imagine it will be able to do much more than OLX.
