Linking Email Blasts from NetCommunity to RE actions

Hello,


Today my supervisor and I were looking at actions in our system, and we feel we can do so much more with actions. For instance we realize that any email sent out via netcommunity does not get tied as an action in the system. Does anyone know how to have this happen?

    You can use the query used to generate the email list, and globally add an action to those records in the query.
    • However, I might caution against adding emails as actions -- yes, sending an email is technically an action but we send a lot of emails to a lot of constituents.  Is this email significant enough to capture, is there some type of analysis or segmenting that you might be doing based on the fact that these constituents got this email? 
    • You might also consider logging this email as an appeal vs. an action.  Appeals is where you want to track what you've sent to a constituent (whether it be by mail or email).

    I will have to check with my supervisor. The reason she wanted it in actions is because actions show up on the NXT platform. Thank you so much for the feedback!

    Just my 2 cents, but I would use the NC tab to track mass emails because it shows open rates and other data. I would use actions for more personal emails. You could potentially end up with hundreds of actions on tens of thousands of records.


    Barring that, you can use a query to globally add like Gina said.
