Annotations in Batch?

Options
We need our gift processing folks to be aware of specific instructions for a handful of donors in our database. Ideally, the annotation would pop up when they've selected their record in Batch. Has anyone figured out a way to do it?

A Knowledge Base article from 5 years ago says the follow... I'm wondering if there's a more updated solution anyone has used? :
1.Create a constituent query for constituents who have an annotation (Constituent Information -> Annotation Not blank)

2.Create a new Adding Gift Business Rule based on the constituent query

3.Name the rule and insert pop-up text to alert the user to check the annotation on the constituent's record

A business rule as described should work fine.  Not aware of any changes/updates to that function.

A Business Rule is definitely the way to go.  If the records you're wanting to group together don't currently have actual "Annotations" on them, you'll need to group them together using query in another way.  You can then customize the text of the Business Rule pop up to tell your users what to do.

For example, at my last organization I had a handful of records that needed their letters hand-signed by the ED.  I built an attribute that indicated that, put it on those records, built a query that grouped them, then built a business rule that said "This donor requires a hand-signed letter from the ED."
