  • @Crystal Bruce - I don't really find much of a difference as the lag time for reports in DB view was not long.

  • @Crystal Bruce
I look forward to running more reports in the future!!

  • @Crystal Bruce I like being able to schedule the report to run and be emailed to users. I hope this is also a feature for Query/Export!

  • @Crystal Bruce
I love that you can run reports in the background and the csv file also looks great!

  • @Crystal Bruce I love being able to search for my reports by name as I use GD&S all the time and have a lot of them.

I have to say I really miss preview and find that challenging. I see I'm not alone in that here. I've been working toward keeping everything in the database where it is more protected. While I can't always do that - not having a preview here feels like a move in the wrong direction. Looking forward to using this challenge as a reason to play more with this new tool.

Looking forward to playing around with the scheduling features.

  • @Crystal Bruce I love that the report can run in the background and allows me to keep working. I have to agree with some comments I saw about “Cancel” - since this is still so new - I worry I am cancelling the processing vs. just closing the pop up window.

I too miss the preview option, when pulling older data (that you might be less sure of), you're creating and downloading reports that may not be what you are looking for.

  • @Crystal Bruce The standard reports are very easy to use!

  • @Crystal Bruce The asynchronous processing is great. The challenge I run into is when I run in a few different times in a row with different settings. Because there is no ability to print report criteria, if my report shows something confusing it is then difficult to troubleshoot because I'm unsure what the criteria was at the time I ran that version of it. But I do love how fast it is!

  • @Carlene Johnson and @Crystal Bruce – yes an option for the criteria page!

  • @Crystal Bruce very similar to doing it in the database view. I like it.
