I really like the ability to schedule these reports and share with other staff, keeping them up to date weekly, monthly, etc. The custom headings will be nice to try out as well.

  • @Crystal Bruce
I'm new to Reports, but I found it easy to set up. I found the Anonymous option a bit puzzling until I read someone else's comment. :) And I love being able to get it as a CSV and not just as a pdf.

    Hello!

When attempting to apply a Funds filter by selecting a previously created query (Filters > +Funds > + Select query), I noticed that the query I’m trying to use does not appear in the list of available queries. It's a bit puzzling since other queries saved in the same folder are visible, and the one I’m looking for is configured similarly.

Do you happen to know why this might be the case—or is it just Murphy’s Law at work? ?
(Extra info: I didn’t create the query myself, and the “Only my queries” box is not checked.)

Also, under Columns, I see Constituent Name as a default column (at least for me). Is there a way to include Constituent ID as an available column? I don’t currently see it as an option.

    Thanks so much!

  • @Crystal Bruce I have using the Gift Detail and Summary Report regularly for reconciling. As others have noted, the asynchronous feature is great and the formatting is cleaner. :)

  • @Crystal Bruce
I selected both Detail and Summary when running a csv, but only have a tab for the detail in the output report. What step am I missing to get a Summary tab?

  • @Crystal Bruce

I like the asynchronous processing and the ability to schedule reports. I'll be scheduling some of our monthly reports right away. The csv output option also looks like it will be handy.

Is there any thought of doing favorites for reports like we have with queries?

  • @Crystal Bruce Using the Standard Reports in RENXT was easy to navigate and has a cleaner look than the database view. Asynchronous processing is wonderful! No need to wait for the report, just check your notifications and there it is (even keeps the name bolded until you download!).

The downside is that I am not seeing a report that I use every month, the Appeals Analysis. Hopefully, that will be released in the future along with other reports that are not available (Event Management, Volunteer Management, etc.).

  • @Crystal Bruce
I like the csv export capability, much cleaner export file.

But, my gift detail reports totals from the database view are not the same as the NXT reports, although I'm using the same parameters… not sure why…

  • @Crystal Bruce
I like the asynchronous processing feature.

  • @Crystal Bruce It is so nice to be able to keep working when a report needs to run! So often I need to kick off a report and have other data entry tasks that need completed at the same time.

  • @Crystal Bruce works great, thanks

  • @Crystal Bruce Works well, love the ability to export directly to CSV.

  • @Crystal Bruce processed quickly and provided the information I needed

  • @Crystal Bruce - Like the reports in web view, although they are very similar to database. They do seem much easier to navigate with the web view terminology. I will probably be sharing lots of reports with my team!

  • @Crystal Bruce I liked the speed at which the report was pulled and that I could choose the CSV format. I often pull reports in database view and export to Excel so that I can manipulate them so this saves a step. I don't like that the totals are not included in the CSV or that the number of gifts and donors is not showing.

  • @Crystal Bruce

Ran the gift detail and summary - wish there were a few more choices for columns but hopefully it will become more robust as the updates continue….

  • @Crystal Bruce thank you! I was successfully able to run one of our existing Gift Detail and Summary reports and found it to be fast and accurate. Love the opportunities to schedule a recurring run as desired.

  • @Crystal Bruce I'm really excited about this feature in NXT. I appreciate how the layout of the tabs is relatively the same, so it wasn't hard to relearn the structure. Having the ability to run a report and then continue working on other tasks is crucial.

  • @Crystal Bruce I'm impressed. I ran one of our Gift Detail and Summary Report and tested scheduling the report. I feel that the scheduling reports will assist in me streamlining monthly closing. I also noticed the the detailed report was too large to generate a pdf report instead it download the detail as a cvs. I will test this when I closing April and hopefully, finance will not have an issue with the cvs version.

  • @Crystal Bruce I found the report easy to run and be able to change parameters. Scheduling reports is an important feature for me.

  • @Crystal Bruce Scheduling reports and asynchronous processing are definitely a benefit for our small organization!

  • @Crystal Bruce - thanks for the extra time in my day! Using the NXT Standardized Reports with asynchronous processing was great. I'm the biggest fan of the export directly to csv with NO EXTRA EDITING required!!! Monthly reports are now so much smoother to create. Thanks, Blackbaud!

  • @Crystal Bruce
I still consider myself new to web view, and in the past, I have shied away from reports, preferring to manipulate the data with a query. It was easy to run the Gift Detail and Summary report (once I found it) and export to .csv. I found the info was plainly laid out and easy to read. Thanks for the challenge to increase my web view and report knowledge.

  • @Crystal Bruce It was easy to set-up and run in the background. It will take my coworker and I some time to update/remove the reports that appeared from 20 years ago and have our current-use reports available more readily, but that is on us…

  • @Crystal Bruce Export to csv!!!! Now if only there was a total :-) I was unsuccessful with the schedule option but look forward to it!

  • @Crystal Bruce I am starting my journey with using web view more. I love the asynchronous run of the report and having the ability to schedule reports. This will save me so much time in sending reports to my senior leader.

  • @Crystal Bruce Nice result. Not a report I run frequently so setting all options will require some time to familiarize myself.

I do wish you could click on report name to open it vs a drop down in the little small box. :)

I will interested to hear what our CFO says as she has about 20 of these reports and will be doing some scrolling to find them all.

  • @Crystal Bruce
The report ran with not much effort. It is not a report I use regularly, but it could be interesting to explore further. The asynchronous processing works fine. I think I'd prefer it to work more like running reports in Financial Edge. I'm looking forward to being able to email scheduled reports like in FENXT. As our database is full of outdated reports but I do not wish to delete them until we are sure they aren't needed to provide clues and insight from the past, I would love to be able mark a report inactive and/or hidden so there are fewer reports to scroll through.

  • @Crystal Bruce, love the speed of web reporting…..almost didn't need asynchronous processing b/let me not speak too soon ?
