  • @Crystal Bruce I love that the report file can be a PDF or CSV. This makes a huge difference when I'm manipulating the data from the report. They are both so clean and manageable.

When it comes to insights, challenges or enhancements, I wish the “Recently Run” tab in the report would refresh automatically. I have to click out of it and return to it for the reports to appear as available to “get” and “download”

  • @Kelly CampionSocol Do you have an appeal associated with this? That might help with the filtering.

  • @Lisa Daly Not really, the system was set up using campaigns as the basis for filtering. We do not have an independent appeal for every outreach, e.g. Year End FY22, Year End GFY23, etc… Even with that appeal structure I would still need to enter a start date and an end date to generate an NXT report as they are required. It would be nice to just put in a specific appeal or campaign, and no date and run the report.

  • @Crystal Bruce it feels easy to use and share.

  • @Crystal Bruce - I love the schedule feature in web view and look forward to utilizing it.

  • @Crystal Bruce I like that you can keep working on other tasks while you await the report to run and the ease of exporting to PDF or CSV. Look forward to using this in NXT.

  • @Crystal Bruce the scheduling and csv format really helps with automation

  • @Crystal Bruce The best part is being able to work while the report is running. Especially when it is a large pull. Scheduling reports is also a nice feature that I will have to start using.

  • @Crystal Bruce The schedule feature and being able to add others to receive the report is a wonderful feature.

  • @Crystal Bruce I am really loving these reports in NXT and love that we did not have to start from scratch since we had all of our reports in DBV!

  • @Crystal Bruce
My favorite improvement is the .csv export that is formatted beautifully! Thank you for making life easier for all the DBA's out there!

  • @Crystal Bruce The scheduling feature has freed up hours of my work week. I can't wait for more customization for columns of the report to become available!

  • @Crystal Bruce

So we run a “Gift Detail & Summary Report" as part of our physical batch backup. The report I use is set to include records “ Batch Number = <ask>” in Database view, which then asks me what Batch I want to include in the report after I hit “run”. In webview, it does not do this - it runs a report but doesn't “ask” me what batch to use. Instead, it appears to be every gift ever made, maybe. So that's a fail for me on the daily use case for this specific report.

I do like the recently run feature.

Are they planning on a way to “favorite” reports? In database view, I have a little folder of the reports I use every day on my home page so I don't have to hunt to find them. I hope we get something like that in webview.

  • @Crystal Bruce
I like that the reports were available in the “Recently run” tab - super easy to go back to a report that had already been generated without having to wait for it to run again.

  • @Crystal Bruce I'm still adjusting to the different layout and seeing things more in a list view rather than a graphical interface. I don't often run a lot of standard reports and it was interesting for me to just get in there and see what already exists. I found a report on inactive donors that I'm going to run more frequently. And I second the motion about ability to export in .csv

  • @Crystal Bruce I really appreciate the scheduling. It will help with our monthly reporting and make it more automated.

  • @Crystal Bruce, I like having reports in the “Recently run” tab, it is very helpful and a great time saver!

  • @Crystal Bruce Although it is easy to run the report, I wish there was a way to either save the report as a favorite or add it to my home screen/dashboard when I login to webview since it is a report I run daily.

  • @Crystal Bruce I'll drop this into my Recently Run tab for a quick review. I also like the opportunity to schedule these reports on a monthly basis, definitely a time saver.

  • @Crystal Bruce
Worked exactly as in database view. Easy to use.

  • @Crystal Bruce The gift summary and detail report is my go-to report and the one I run the most often. The interface is pretty easy to get used to, but I was hoping there would be a preview mode like in database view instead of having to download a report every time. Sometimes we just need to take a glance at the information and don't need an exported report. That being said, I do like the look of the report!

  • @Crystal Bruce scheduling this report will be key as it can be automatically sent to finance

  • @Crystal Bruce scheduling reports will help with our monthly reporting and asynchronous processing is a time saver too.

  • @Crystal Bruce I love that reports are moving into WebView and the Gift Detail and Summary Report ran great and I love that I don't have to wait for a report to finish before I can do anything else. I'm also very happy with the scheduling option and I've already set up two of my monthly reports to start running automatically.

However, so far, only two of the four monthly reports that I produce for our Finance recon are available - Pledge Status and Write Offs. Still need Pledge Activity and Adjustments reports.

  • @Crystal Bruce I'm not sure that I'm a fan of the asynchronous processing. The report is usually a quick producing report and my preference would be to have the report available without extra clicks. Maybe it could be a choice for individuals how reports open? Just a thought.

  • @Crystal Bruce Being able to continue working on other tasks while this report generates is a huge help! And being able to schedule it and have it run automatically will be a huge benefit for our finance team.

  • @Crystal Bruce I've used this to set up a report for another division in our Org for them to keep track of specific fund balances but then with the gift detail gives them the deep dive info catered to their needs. I was super excited for the schedule option and sharing it with someone. I “thought” that it would literally email it to the user but sadly it just runs it and they need to log in within a few hours of the schedule to access the report easily. Either way it's a great report to have moved into NXT … and would be amazing if BB figured out the automation to e-mail the scheduled reports that are shared… ;-)

  • @Crystal Bruce
Love the fact that the reports go straight to Downloads! At first I missed that the notification icon had changed but now I know where to look.

  • @Crystal Bruce I am new to reports and VERY new to webview. I ran a Gift Detail and Summary report for the first time. Super easy! Thanks for the challenge

  • @Crystal Bruce I love that this report can be scheduled and run in the background! Currently, it is not in my day-to-day/month-to-month process to use this Gift Detail and Summary report, but I can see its benefit. It is an easy report to see the “big picture” of the day/week/month.
