TeamRaiser tell-a-friend referral bonus

We are interested in implementing a variant of tell-a-friend for our TeamRaiser events. Ideally it would have trackable registrations when the referral link is clicked. The vision is that we'll be offering an incentive to our existing participants based on the number of their referrals that sign-up. Are there any variables that we'd be able to use in our email to participants so the link they forward would reflect the referral source of the new registration as the participant who sent the email?

I wonder if you could append s_src=registration_contest&s_subsrc=] to the link to the registration? I don't know if you can use an s-tag there, you'd have to test it.

The source and subsource code would appear on the registrant's cons record, and you can report on it too. They can even wander around your site a bit before registering and the codes should still record.
