Linking to an online registration page from a Team Raiser home page?

Options

I'm setting up a TR for our first annual golf outing. I'd like to add a "Registration" to the TR home page and link it to an online form. How can I implement that? The right hand column navigation has the join a team, find a team buttons, but they link directly to sub TR pages. I want to replace those buttons with just a 'registration' button that links to a simple form.

Or...do I have to embed it into the center content?

So you want them to register through something like a survey and not register through TeamRaiser registration?

  • Yes. Does it have to be linked to a Convio survey or can we link to an Adobe Forms document?

I worked with an org a while back that used TR for their golf tournament and they just used the TR registration but changed the wording on the links. This way one person can create a team and then send the link to his/her friends and tell them to join the team. This way each player can pay their own fee right through the system and then they each can try to raise money for your organization. If you create a TR landing page outside of TR you can have more control over the buttons and registration display using S-tags than you can by default. Here's an example of an org I worked with to get outside the box using TR: http://www.sdhumane.org/site/TR/Events/General?fr_id=1090&pg=entry

If you don't want to do this then you can use any form you like for registration but I'm not sure why you would setup a TR for this if you are not going to have people register through it. The only problem I see using something like the Adobe form you mentioned is that they wouldn't automatically be added to your database and you couldn't used triggered communication to reach out to them leading up to the event.

I'm happy to jump on a quick call if you'd like to discuss.

I'd love to jump on a call to discuss. I'm free anytime between 1-3 EST today. My number: 484.883.0457.

Thanks for the registration page example for the Humane Society.

Participation for our events are usually done at the corporate level and then turned over to an admin to register the team. The admin's would like to register the entire foursome at once. Is there anyway to link a right hand navigation button to a Convio survey page?
