Solicit Codes marked on demoted records (IOM)

Options

This is a long shot…

I'm wondering if anyone else is using NetCommunity for emailing and also uses Omatic List Management to demote records?

We were running a small test to see if it is possible to have someone who received an emailed from NetCommunity, to unsubscribe, and have it mark the appropriate Solicit Code back in RE on a DEMOTED record. Is this even possible?

While I don't think it is possible (since database view relies on the ConsID, which doesn't exist on a demoted record), I figured I would ask. Thank you.

database view doesn't “relies on ConsID”. database view non-constituent record does not have Constituent ID, but all records (constituent or non-constituent) have constituent system record id.

However, a non-constituent has limited data that can be “associated” with it. A clear example is, a non-constituent record would never have a gift record associated with it. That said, the same is true for solicit code. Non-constituent record cannot have associated solicit code.

While I don't use List Management in IOM, I have looked into it before. List management basically utilize non-constituent record “outside” of its normal usage defined by RE application, but still works within the defined limit of what non-constituent record is. So i'm pretty sure you cannot have solicit code for non-constituent record. But someone from Omatic has to confirm at the end of the day.

  • @Alex Wong In List Management, the demoted records can have Solicit Codes. When I look at the same demoted record in webview, there isn't a panel for Solicit Codes, nor is there the blue banner above the name indicating such codes.

Though I haven't tested it out, I'm not sure I would be able use Power Automate to put a solicit code on a demoted record.

What List Management able to do is not significant to the discussion. Omatic created List Management purposely to use non-constituent record in ways that's not allow by RE, so being able to see solicit code in List Management doesn't mean much.

if you do not see solicit code in the RE NXT webview for that non constituent record, I am pretty certain that you can't work on it using SKY API to add or retrieve solicit code.
