WHAT'S THIS FEATURE?

We’re providing greater operational control where you have event size limits, by supporting participation caps per event or by type.  Previously, the event manager was responsible for constantly monitoring the registration count to close registration when the event reached a specific number of attendees.  This cut off is now managed programmatically, freeing up the administrator to focus more important aspects of the event.

 

HOW DOES THIS SUPPORT EVENT STRATEGY?

Some events like golf tournaments or seated dinners are constrained in the number of people who can participate in their event due time restrictions or seating capacity.  This feature allows you to set a set and enforce that limit with minimal attention from the admin.    

 

This new feature also allows you to create a sense of urgency by communicating “available spaces left”.  You can leverage what might be perceived as a capacity-hardship of your event (ex: your event site may only accommodate 100 people) to your advantage by creating excitement around ‘first come, first serve’ and drive the exclusivity nature of your event.

 

This feature will also allow you to create exclusive Participation Types that will have special offerings.
