Using upsells with TeamRaiser reg, is there a means of adding the upsell post registration?

A couple of our TeamRaisers have an upsell associated with their registration, but they are also looking to offer this to participants who didn't take advantage of it at the time of registration. Is there a way to do this through the participant centre and still charge the participant?

I was told that there is no way to connect someone to an upsell in TR after the registration is done. The only work-around they could think of is creating an ecommerce store and then link to it in the participant center. Let me know if you have further questions about this.
