Moving Past Participants and Past Teams to this year's Event

Hi! Could someone point me towards some training for how to move past participants of an event into the teamraiser for this year? ie 2011 Run/Walk Participants and Teams to 2012? When someone registers, it shows them as having registered for last year's event and will not let them do so again. I have associated this teamraiser with last year's, so they do have the "Form Team Again" option, but it is not allowing duplicate email addresses (and yet last year's teamraiser has been inactivated).

 

I'm sure I'm just missing some "how to" information on this, so if you could point me in the right direction, that would be great!

I think they have to log in first, and then register. Otherwise Convio is trying to create a new constituent record (which would probably get fixed in duplicate management later) but fails due to your duplicate email restriction settings. You could set Convio to allow duplicate email addresses, either globally (bad) or just in TeamRaiser (marginal) but this causes its own problems.

 

Our first page of the registration wizard has a big message to log in first (see attached.) I don't recall if this is stock, or if we added this.

Do you have your "New or Returning User" option turned on in your site options? You can find it under site options here:

 

 

If you don't, you can turn this to true and get this step added to your registration process:
