Managing gifts in personal fundraising page/teamraiser

Options

Does anyone use personal fundraising pages as a way to engage with third-party fundraisers? We have a campaign set up, and we are having trouble using the search function to locate gifts in the back end (seems like some software glitch, actually).  Wondering how other people use the personal fundraisign campaigns, or if most clients use TeamRaiser to manage things like this because it's more robust.  Thanks for your thoughts.

    Stacy,

Can you elaborate on what you're trying to do? I'm not quite following what gifts you're searching for. Are you trying to match a gift to a PF page or to the donor?

It's OK, there is some glitch that support is helping me with.  Seems to be isolated.

I was mainly asking if other people were inclined to use TeamRaiser for third-party fundraisers instead of Personal Fundraising.  TR campaigns are geared towards an event date, but we were wondering if it makes sense to create a TR for our third party community supporters who want a fundraising page instead. TR seems so much more functional from a user and back-end perspective, but I'm not sure it will work.  Has anyone in the community done this?  Thanks!

I agree with Nancy that TR can be used for PF-type use. The only thing that becomes a bit of a pain is when you start getting constituents who want to build personal pages that don't really meet any of the TeamRaiser "events" that you've setup. When I was at the SPCA of Texas we didn't have Personal Fundraising at first so we used TR a lot for personal pages. Like you said, the functionality of it is just much easier and more robust.

I hope you'll take a moment to come back here and share a link when you get your setup done for personal pages using TeamRaiser so others can see your example.

    Thanks!

    Kent
