TR Gift Details Report vs. TR Dynamic Data Warehouse Event Level Combination Report

Can anyone tell me what the difference between data pulled into the Total of All Not-Rejected Gifts ($) field available in the TeamRaiser Dynamic Data Warehouse Event Level Combination Report, and the Gift Amount ($) column that appears in the Gift Details Report?

 

Both reports are TeamRaiser reports available in Report Writer. The Total of All Not Rejected Gifts ($) field in the Event Level Combination Report is under Aggregable Information / Gifts. The Gift Amount ($) column that comes out in the Gift Details Report is presumably a combination of the Gift Amount ($) field under Company Information / Gifts and the Gift Amount ($) field under Gift Information / Gifts -- both fields are required for this report type, but only one Gift Amount ($) column appearswhen you run the report.

 

I am trying to compare the data collected between these two reports in order to assess the impact of a bug affecting how donation data is recorded in Dynamic Data Warehouse reports, but need to make sure I am comparing apples to apples.

The TR Dynamic Data Warehouse Event Level Combination Report is something only ACS has. I recommend contacting Support so they can get someone who is familiar with this custom data source to help.

Hey Kent! Been a while....since I talked to you as a Food Bank For New York City employee. I did not realize DDW was specific to ACS. Thank you for setting me straight.

 

However, are you not able to find out if there is a difference between the two fields I am looking at? I am comparing the Total of All Not Rejected Gifts ($) field under Aggregable Information / Gifts; and the Gift Amount ($) column that comes out in the Gift Details Report, which is presumably a combination of the Gift Amount ($) field under Company Information / Gifts and the Gift Amount ($) field under Gift Information / Gifts -- both fields are required for this report type, but only one Gift Amount ($) column appearswhen you run the report.

I'm really not sure. I asked someone from the ACS team for the info. Let me see if I can get someone familiar with your setup to respond. I'll email that team right now.

I've been here about 7 months. Very different from the Food Bank! Hope the

transition to Blackbaud has been going well for you.

I can imagine it is different. Hope it goes great for you!

 

The transition has been great here. Not too much has changed around me but I now have access to a lot more info and resources. I'm hoping to be at BBCon again this year so if you get to go let me know.

Hi Daniel,

 

I thought someone had responded with this info. I was told that all ACS admins are coached to submit all questions like this (custom config ones) to the national HQ "Operations Support Team." That team will then contact BB support. I wish I could be more help but this one is out of my area.
