THE ROLE

  • Conduct targeted, complex searches using multiple databases as well as social media to identify relevant information
  • Identify and maintain research portfolios for individual major gift donors and prospect, analyze current and future pipelines ensuring accuracy in database, and liaise to ensure that timelines for "next steps" are documented and realized. Update the major gift pipeline and moves management reporting framework utilizing the prospect module of Raiser’s Edge.
  • Work with solicitors to manage MG pledges and facilitate timely reminders and action with donors
  • Prepare briefings for local and international travel for all solicitors
  • Manage stewardship of all donors as per Stewardship Matrix
  • Ensure all recognition is aligned and up to date with and school policies and donor wishes
  • Manage the implementation of a robust, year-round stewardship that meaningfully engages donors at all giving levels. This includes envisioning highly-customized engagement materials and experiences for top donors.
  • Provide event support of development events
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with fundraising policies and processes
  • Coordinate agenda, PowerPoint presentation, and additional documentation for Advancement Committee meetings

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Post-secondary degree, or equivalent experience through demonstrated work
  • Knowledge and experience with Raiser’s Edge is required
  • Previous experience in a non-for-profit organization preferably with a development focus
  • Excellent client service, demonstrating diplomacy in all situations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven technical skills with respect to client relationship management systems
  • Proven ability to manage multi-phase projects from inception to completion, including the ability to build consensus among team members and balance multiple concurrent priorities
  • Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE) certificate is considered an asset
