This is an exciting time to join BCD’s Development team as we embark on our next phase, Bulldogs Forever which includes a new building on our campus to support additional collaborative learning environments and gathering spaces for our innovative programs.

As a member of the BCD Development team the Development Associate will support the Bulldogs Forever capital campaign and all current initiatives relating to our philanthropic goals with database management, prospect research and event execution. This is a 30 hour per week, year-round position.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all gift processing activities including data entry, gratitude, and reconciliation.
  • Develop templates for gift management and gratitude.
  • Update database and communicate changes to the team, as needed.
  • Work with fundraisers to ensure accurate and timely maintenance of prospect records to reflect movement of prospects through stages of cultivation and systematic tracking of anticipated philanthropic gifts.
  • Conduct prospect research and prepare briefings for donor meetings and strategy sessions.
  • For the annual Gala, hold responsibility for procurement process, development of the Gala catalog and signage, and provide any additional administrative support for the event.
  • Aid with set up and execution of all other events.
  • Track all capital campaign cultivation and solicitations in the database.
  • Keep track of all Prospect management as it relates to the Capital Campaign.
  • Support the Development Committee of the Board of Trustees, and alumni relations efforts as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • One to three years of development experience in prospect management, event planning, and capital campaigns; non-profit experience preferred.
  • Experience with data entry, reporting, and tracking in Raiser’s Edge database or comparable CRM
  • Demonstrated proficiency in preparing professional correspondence
  • Independently motivated, goal-oriented, strategic thinker who can execute among multiple priorities
  • High professional and ethical standards for handling confidential data
  • Growth mindset; open minded, flexible, and reflective
  • Committed to cultivating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive community
  • Ability to work occasional weekends, evenings, or early mornings, for scheduled fundraising events

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
