Info required for secondary registrations in Teamraiser

Options

Earlier we had an issue with billing info overriding registration info when a parent was trying to pay for a child but not participate in the Teamraiser themselves.

Now I believe we have another issue.

We have many sponsors who want to set up a team and pay for everyone's registration.  It is EXTREMELY time consuming for them to have to collect and enter mailing addresses for everyone so to make it as easy/fast as possible, we have only required title, first name and last name for secondary registrations as well as answers to our questions about t-shirt size and age group.

The goal was:

1.  to make it easy for one person to register several people quickly

2.  to keep them from putting their own email or other info with all secondary registrants because it seemed easier , or they didn't know everyone's email, or it was a child without an email

3.  to keep them from making something up

4.  to keep minors registered under a parent from receiving mailings and emails

I have since learned that when you do not require an address, the primary registrant's address is applied to the secondary registrations.  Is this correct?  If so, is there a way around it?

    Tracy,

I have asked some of our TR experts to chime in but in the meantime you might checkout these TR site options:

    F2F_REG_INFO_FIELDS_REQD:

Specifies the required fields for all Participation Types. Created in a comma separated list, valid registration fields include: ADDRESS, PHONE, GENDER, BIRTHDATE, and EMAIL (secondary registration only).

    F2F_UPDATE_CONSTITUENT_FROM_SECONDARY_REGISTRANT:

Update an existing contact record that matches the details provided for a secondary registrant with details (like date of birth, phone number, address)

I'm thinking that you can set these to make it so only the secondary participant's email is required. Perhaps that will make it so it won't pick up the address of the primary partcipant. Hopefully someone will chime in to confirm this will fix the issue.

Thanks Kent, I'm meeting with those who work the Luminate CRM side today and hopefully we can do some testing.  I'll let you know how it goes.
