Sustaining Donations

Hello everyone!

I am trying to create a query of recurring gifts for this fiscal year, but when I pull the list it returns with the initial gift date, not the gifts we received this year. For the criteria, I added a gift date range from 7.1.22 - 6.30.24 is there something that I'm missing?

  • @Chantel M Russ add the gift type = Recurring Gift Pay-Cash, this will provide a listing of only the payments. If you desire, total revenue related to recurring gifts, you can use the database view report/financial/cash receipts journal. Its an oldie but a goodie.

  • @Chantel M Russ if its a listing of new recurring gifts started during your date range, you can change the gift type = Recurring Gift.

Thank you for responding. Technically, all of the gifts aren't new but some are. We would like to see the payments made for this fiscal year only. But I feel I am missing something.

  • @Lucy Ruiz I added Recurring Gift Pay Cash but it is still pulling in gifts from 2018. My experience is limited with the financial reports, but I'll play around with it. Thank you for all your help!

  • @Chantel M Russ are you using a query or a report or list?

  • @Chantel M Russ if it’s a query gift query,

criteria - gift type = Recurring Gift Pay-Cash and gift date between (date range).

if it’s a db view report, date = (date range), soft credit to donor, select gift type = Recurring Gift Pay-Cash, It should yield the correct data.

  • @Lucy Ruiz I am using a query.

@Chantel M Russ Which Blackbaud product are you using? For example, is it Raiser's Edge NXT?

This section of the forum is about the community itself. Things like getting help setting up a profile, sending messages to other community members, voting in the idea bank, etc.

You might get more specific help in the subcommunity for the specific product by cross posting your question there too.

  • @Bryna Gleich Hi Bryna I am using RE Database View. Thank you for replying.

  • @Chantel M Russ discussion moved to Raiser's Edge community. Thanks!

  • @Chantel M Russ, this is basically repeating the same info as others, but perhaps some pictures will be helpful. As an aside, I would also make sure you are using a Gift Query (not constituent query) and that your output fields are clean. If you use a constituent query and try to output gift dates, you can get a mess of their entire giving history even if your criteria is filtered by date.

Here's how to set if using a query:

And here's how to set if using a report:
