GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

The Director CRM Operations and Data Processing will work with other department heads and key stakeholders to provide leadership in the areas of CRM (Constituent Relationship Management) strategy, reporting and analysis and data management.

Work may expand beyond fundraising and donor CRM systems to include programs that relate to other key constituencies across the organization where data management and CRM strategy is needed ex: medical volunteers, students, etc.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage Blackbaud contract and hours.
  • Support data integration efforts across all lines of business within the organization.
  • Works with business unit leaders to support full integration with Blackbaud CRM processes to increase constituent lifetime value and engagement.
  • Supports the AVP, Major Gifts and Prospect Researcher in setting annual prospect research and management plans and in establishing policies and procedures related to prospect management, research rating systems and scoring.
  • Executes a comprehensive prospect identification system and manages and trains staff involved in research identification efforts.
  • Responsible for PCI compliance
  • Recommend system and procedural improvements.
  • Review industry publications and research on a regular basis, and incorporate broader industry metrics and trends into analysis, assessments, and recommendations.
  • Hire, cultivate/coach and maintain a team of data management specialists.
  • Supervise and coach data specialists on the database team. Establish project deadlines, delegate, and assign department work to individuals as appropriate, and ensure that department standards for work output are met. Ensure that department resources are utilized efficiently.
  • Provide a collaborative environment for staff, inviting participation on cross-departmental work teams.
  • Responsible for onboarding new business initiatives as they relate to database issues and implementations.
  • Serve as a key resource for international partner countries who require guidance in the areas of data management.
  • Aid data infrastructure development efforts as the primary liaison between fundraising and marketing business stakeholders and information technology resources.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years progressive experience working with CRMs (i.e. Blackbaud/Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics) and database administration.
  • A passion for data. Great analytical skills. Understand how to link data to operational and creative CRM communication. Able to define problems, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Strategic acumen coupled with a high attention to detail and the ability to audit own work for accuracy and quality.
  • Able to quickly assess core business challenges and respond through the use of CRM strategy/tactics.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, planning, and project management skills with individuals at subordinates, peers, vendor partners and management levels.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Mathematics or other related field.
