Quick-registration button is not auto-filling email into survey
Hello,
We were previously a Go! client and had a "quick email registration" enabled on our home page as a suggested best practice, but when you type in your email to the field, it brings you to a survey where you need to enter it again.
Could someone explain how to get this field to auto-fill on the survey form screen.

Explanation:
The way that the registration snippets are set up from the Go! snippets page, a new user will see their information carry over to the second survey. however, a user whose email address is already in the system will not see their information populate on the second form.
Try signing up using the snippet on your homepage again, but this time use a totally new email address (for example, add some characters to your own email to guarantee that you are using a new email that isn't in C360 yet: alemmon+testing@convio.com for example). When you use a new email address you should see the information carry over to the second survey.
The reason that Luminate Online doesn't carry over the information for a user that already has an email in C360 is because the registration snippet starts with one survey and for new users they are "auto logged in" when they arrive on the second form and their information in the Luminate powered session carries over. for a user who is already in the system, Luminate does not want to "auto log in" that user because this would be a security hole to allow an already registered user to be logged into the system simply by typing in their email address. While this feature is bothersome it is tied to the inherent security protocols that are in place on the Luminate Online platform.
The good news is that a new user will see their info carry over, for existing users they will have to completely fill out the information on the second form. If you would like to edit the information on the second step of the registration flow, you can navigate to Content -->> Surveys, and then click to "edit" the survey that is the second step (usually this survey is called "thank you for your interest" but on some go! client sites we have renamed that survey.

That is all helpful to know - I wasn't familiar with the auto-login
component as it relates to the registration surveys.
However, I just tested it and new emails don't seem to be carrying over

Twitter <>so one thing to try is to make sure that you have cleared your browser cache/history and also your cookies. A user session cookie could be on your machine which is leading the computer you're using to believe that you are a returning user and it doesn't want to "autologin" you in from the first step.
Clear your browser history
Clear your browser cookies
Restart your browser
Load the form and enter an email address that IS NOT in C360 already
See what happens.
Let me know if that fixes the issue. The next thing to investigate if the above doesn't solve the issue is to edit the survey and make sure that the CRI (Constituent Reg Info) question has the proper settings chosen.
