Position Overview

The Nashville Public Library Foundation is seeking a goal oriented, highly self-motivated, and resourceful individual to serve in an information and database administrator role as our full-time Donor Database Coordinator. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic team of Advancement professionals and the wider Library system as you promote the Foundation’s mission and maximize its fundraising potential.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Raiser’s Edge database that serves as the foundation for all organizational outreach and includes 30,000+ donors, volunteers, partners, and funders.
  • Create data structures to support the foundation’s evolving needs
  • Create event the forms and assist with the event module
  • Manage data needs, creating user rights, funds, tables, and configuration for the data system.
  • Conduct regular audits of data to ensure accuracy, producing accurate data lists
  • Support the CRM needs of Fundraising, Marketing/PR, and finance, acting as the primary liaison to all database users
  • Enter and process donations, gift acknowledgments – analyzing and maintaining mail merges, acknowledgments, pledge reminders and invoices within a specified timeframe
  • Support the maintenance of individual, corporate, foundation, and prospect records in the donor database
  • Create queries, email marketing lists as requested by team members, providing users with best practices and feedback on relationship management and tracking fundraising events
  • Provide regular reports and lists, supporting annual solicitations, corporate fundraising, and grant writing
  • Conduct prospect research and prepare profiles for staff
  • Strategically collaborate with the NPLF team to assess and improve functionality and features in the CRM and email marketing software systems, adjusting and changes when indicated
  • Stay abreast of software/industry trends and best practices
  • Analyze data for trends and ensuring database entry and reporting supports fundraising strategies and goals
  • Develop and maintain coding system for donor/constituent information in database, including segmenting groups for prospecting, solicitation, and stewardship
  • Develop and deliver targeted training to current and new users, as needed, and maintain training materials
  • Act as primary liaison to CRM vendor, addressing software glitches and troubleshooting on behalf of staff
  • Maintain knowledge of new developments and features of the CRM system
  • Maintain integration with other systems as neededQualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Experience with CRM software, Raiser’s Edge preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven record of experience utilizing analytical and problem-solving skills. The ability to take data, transform it into useful reports, and disseminate it to the right staff is critical
  • Ability to manage confidential information, multiple priorities and competing deadlines while maintaining attention to detail

Compensation:

$55,000-$60,000
