updating a campaign thermometer

We had an event last year that we created a TeamRaiser for. We are having the event again this year and I'm updating the TeamRaiser that was built last year. I created a new donation form for this year's event which I selected in step two (Select Fundraising Options) but when I preview the page the campaign thermometer is still showing last year's gifts and top fundraisers. How do I reset these thermometers? This is the page I am referring to: http://support.viscardicenter.org/site/TR?fr_id=1060&pg=entry

You'll need to go in and find the code for the progress meter and change the campaign ID to the new campaign where the new TR form is.

Go in where exactly...? The only place that I see the campaing thermometer is in step 12, "customize pages" and it's listed as Status Indicator 1. 

 

And also, is it better to copy last year's teamraiser and update the copy or just update the one that was created last year?

It looks like you're not using the default page layout or greeting page. When you go to the greeting page you might see something with "S51" in it. If you do that is because it's pulling in the content from a Pagebuilder page. If that's the case you'll need to go to the Pagebuilder page.

 

All of that progress meter and honor roll stuff on your greeting page configuration page isn't being used. If you'll tell me what the TR event name is and what the campaign ID is I can change it for you.

Ok... When you go into your greeting page you'll see 

 

<p><convio:session name="51" param="reus_greeting_montauk2013"></convio:session></p>

 

This is pulling the content in from a Pagebuilder page called "reus_greeting_montauk2013". I'm thinking you'll want to create a 2014 event page so you'll need to do that in Pagebuilder. You can simply copy the 2013 if you want to and rename it with 2014. Once you do that you'll need to change the code on your 2014 event greeting page to have the correct Pagebuilder page name for your 2014 event. Once you have  that connected, you can edit the Pagebuilder page to list only stuff for the 2014 event. 

 

Any place you see things like ""Donation2?idb=1455871046&amp;DONATION_LEVEL_ID_SELECTED=1&amp;df_id=1435&amp;1435.donation=form1" or "TR/Ride to Montauk/General?fr_id=1060&amp;pg=pfind" you will need to update the IDs to match your 2014 TeamRaiser event IDs.

 

It looks like you are using the default progress meter so I think when you get all of the IDs corrected it should recognize what dontion form to use to render the progress made in the 2014 event.

So... I was able to create a page builder page for 2014 and update the embed code in TR. But where am I updating the donation form?

In the link above you'll see the "1435" in the "donate" link that is on your event homepage. That is going to your 2013 event. You'll need to change any reference of "1435" to "1480".

Oh wait.... I see what you're doing. Are you not creating a new TeamRaiser event? You have not copied your 2013 event, all you've done is updated the contents so that progress meter won't change. You need to go to the TeamRaiser main page and find your "Ride to Montauk" event and click the "copy" link. I think... I'm not sure. Did someone just go in and change the date in event 1060?
