Recording Donor Advised Funds Organizations with Multiple Companies/Employee Giving Programs

Hello all! I hope all is well. I have a donor advised fund question!
If an organization has multiple companies that use a particular donor advised fund company (ie Benevity, YourCause, ect), what's best practice with recording the gift? Should the gift be recorded under Benevity and soft credit with the individuals that gave? Or should it be recorded as the organization/employer giving (ie Texas Instruments, Pricewaterhouse, ect) and soft credit the individuals that gave? Having an internal discussion on the topic and seeking database manager thoughts? The overall goal is consistency. ?

    You will find quite a number of posts on this topic if you search for DAF, Benevity, and that it is done probably every way possible by different organizations. Consider your reporting needs when deciding how will work best for you and as you said consistency is the key.
