Director Major Gifts and Planned Giving - (Institutional Advancement)

General Function

The incumbent in this job is expected to assist the College in achieving its vision and mission. Customer focus, college service, and a willingness to assist as needed are expectations for all employees.

Develops and implements strategies for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding individuals, organizations, private foundations, and businesses/corporations in major gift fundraising activities of Central Piedmont Community College Foundation.

Leads and directs the College’s planned giving program through the marketing, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of planned giving opportunities to prospective constituents, serving as a resource regarding planned gifts to other Central Piedmont Foundation development officers, and managing a portfolio of major gift prospects.


Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and five years of professional level fundraising experience in a higher education institution or non-profit setting.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree, specific training and experience in planned giving, experience in a higher education environment and CFRE credential.
