Position Summary

The Development Database Administrator is an integral part of the Development team with primary responsibility for fundraising data management, gift processing, acknowledgements, and reporting. The Database Administrator will oversee the Raiser’s Edge database and effectively maintain donor, student, volunteer, and staff information and prepare reports and communications utilizing this key information. The position will be a half-time role, offering 50% of full-time hours and on a consultative basis. The position has the potential to evolve to a permanent part-time position. The Database Administrator reports to the Director of Development.

Essential Functions

The main responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Perform timely and accurate processing of gifts, pledges, pledge reminders, and gift acknowledgements using Raiser’s Edge
  • Serve as the liaison with the Business Office to provide regular gift batching and monthly reconciliation
  • Develop reports and queries to manage prospects and drive segmentation, identification, solicitations, and overall fundraising
  • Review, clean up, and purge data, ensuring data integrity and accurate donor records and information
  • Provide team with mailing lists as requested for a variety of direct mail communications.
  • Support school events such as Grandparents & Friends Day, Annual Celebration & Fundraiser donations, and other student events and activities
  • Develop and document annual giving and database policies and procedures.

Position Requirements
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. College degree preferred.
Experience: 2-3 years Raiser’s Edge database experience.
Computer Skills: Proficient with Excel, Microsoft Office. Proficient computer skills on a Mac.
