Job Summary

The CRM Administrator is responsible for bridging the gap between the CRM systems and the organization’s staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall administration and support for our CRM systems. The candidate will possess a good understanding of how our organization can and should utilize a CRM. Strong communication and customer service skills are essential to work well with staff in multiple departments to facilitate, troubleshoot, and educate. The candidate should advocate for the CRM and help to appropriately expand its use while maintaining a clean, organized database.

Responsibilities
  • Effectively, professionally, and respectfully represents the entire IT team and their services to Red Butte Garden staff, patrons, and associates.
  • Provide ownership and leadership of the implementation, utilization, and expansion of the CRM systems. Red Butte Garden currently uses Blackbaud Altru.
  • Ensures the accuracy of data, analyzes conflicting data, and verifies/collects missing information.
  • Provides support that may include answering questions, troubleshooting problems, communicating policy, and teaching or instructing staff users regarding system functionality, data entry, and basic management.
  • Develop and provide training on core and advanced CRM system functionality.
  • Assess and research options for optimizing and customizing the CRM and related systems.
  • Manage CRM systems users and permissions.
  • Understand and manage all aspects of CRM systems, including membership management, admission ticketing, fundraising, financial reporting, and merchandise sales.
  • Create queries and reports for analysis by various departments and the University.
  • Use Excel (formulas, pivot tables, external data sources) for proficient data processing.
  • Develop and edit HTML content for mailings and website integrations.
  • Create and maintain documentation and tutorials on processes, policies, and systems configuration.
  • As an expert, leverage the CRM to support leadership in making data-driven decisions.
  • Manage and support event ticketing system integration with CRM. Exports, imports, cleanup, and data coordination between systems.
  • Manage and support volunteer management system integration with CRM.
  • Support IT systems during seasonal events, occasionally outside of regular shift hours.
  • Execute IT-related projects as assigned by IT Manager.
Minimum QualificationsRequires a bachelor’s degree or equivalency and 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within areas of specialty.
Preferences
  • An in-depth understanding of one or more cloud-based CRM systems.
  • Patience, a positive, customer-friendly attitude, and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Excellent organizing, planning, and project management skills.
  • Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Web Development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) experience preferred.
  • Previous experience working in cultural or non-profit organizations is favorable.
