day of event offline gifts entered online

Hi Everyone,

 

I hope that I will be able to articulate my question correctly, so please bear with me.

 

This is our first year on the blackbaud/convio system, and we are just now realizing that the available online reports for participants are considerably different than what our event participants are accustomed to.

 

In short, they aren't printer friendly and with a client base that skews non-computer-friendly I am concerned that we will not receive actionable 'offline' reports on walk day.

 

Tradtionally, our walkers (some, anyhow) have entered details on cash/cheques received in their particpant centre as an offline gift, printed a printer friendly pledge form containing that information, and brought it to the event site to reconcile upon registration.

 

This year, I am concerned that we will not receive this information as our participants are unfamiliar with the new form that I am told cannot be altered as part of the system.

 

Are there any users out there who can relate to my concern and perhaps have found a viable alternative for their event participants (if nothing other than a communications strategy)?
