Director of Alumni Relations (St. Margaret's Episcopal School - San Juan Capistrano, CA)

St. Margaret's Episcopal School is now accepting applications for a full-time Director of Alumni Relations. The Director will be responsible for the strategic planning and coordination of a vibrant Alumni Relations program at St. Margaret’s.

Essential Duties:

  • Planning and managing opportunities for alumni involvement in the life of the school, including constituent gatherings, annual alumni events, reunions, career activities, etc.
  • Being an effective steward of alumni support—making sure that we are constantly expressing our gratitude for the support and engagement of our alumni.
  • Directing the work of the Tartan Alumni Association, which is led by the Alumni Council.
  • Leading the alumni and PAL portions of the TALE appeal, in close cooperation with the Executive Director of Advancement, through a collaborative system of assessment, planning, volunteer recruitment and training, and program execution.
  • Actively maintain alumni college and career information up to date for tracking of alumni college degrees and careers through use of alumni clearinghouse database and integration of records with Raiser’s Edge; as well as report on findings as needed/appropriate.
  • Work closely with parents of alumni on the planning and execution of PAL events (fall brunch, college care packs, etc.)
  • As member of the advancement team, identify, cultivate and solicit alumni and parents of alumni prospects for TALE, major gifts and campaigns as appropriate.
  • Work with the Communications and Marketing team in facilitation of St. Margaret’s alumni presence on office social media platforms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of related experience
  • Excellent oral and written communications are required
  • Experience using the computer to complete tasks, including Word, Outlook, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint with skill and accuracy.
