True Friends is looking for an individual to fill the Development Database Coordinator position with our development department at our Annandale, Maple Lake, or Eden Prairie location(s). Office location is flexible.

The Development Database Coordinator will manage the organization’s Donor Database System, including long-range and short-range planning to support continual development and value of the database, and the organization’s Donor Relations Program.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Development Database Coordinator:

  • Serve as agency’s in-house fundraising database expert, proficient in our database and keeping abreast of its new developments including best practices and technology advancements
  • Integration of other constituent related systems, and other donor support functions to assist in maximizing fundraising and donor stewardship
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining a culture of data quality and integrity by establishing and following quality assurance protocols, processes, documentation, and training
  • Manage daily data entry process and batch reporting, producing donor acknowledgements in a timely manner
  • Manage the coordination between appeal, campaign, and fund records to ensure proper gift data coding for monthly, yearend, and other reporting purposes
  • Create and run complex queries, reports, mailings and exports to support fundraising and outreach efforts on a routine and as-needed basis. Responsible for weekly, monthly and annual donor database maintenance and reporting
  • Perform all query and export requests for newsletter mailings, appeal generation and segmentation, etc.
  • Collaborate with fundraising team to track and report on fundraising progress, donor trends and analytics
  • Assist development staff in identifying prospects for greater giving capacity and optimize stewardship efforts
  • Responsible for all gift processing and over-sight of gift processing and production of donor acknowledgements in a timely manner
  • Track and report fundraising progress, donor trends, and analytics
  • Collaborate with development staff on creation and implementation of donor relations policies and procedures
  • Prepare relevant fundraising reports as requested for Board of Directors, Development Committee, finance, and internal leadership
  • Provide technical support and training to Development team to enhance end-user proficiency, skill and professional development, including for annual giving, major individual giving, foundation and corporate fundraising, event management, and online engagement specifically with regards to fundraising and RE NXT data interaction.
  • Provide assistance with special events preparation and guest support, e.g., invitations, name tags, programs, room setup, phone calls, on-site coordination, etc.
  • Manage and maintain relationship with database vendor including evaluating contract parameters to ensure maximum use of the system
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications for Development Database Coordinator:

  • Must be able to pass organizational background checks
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 2-3 three years of Raiser’s Edge database administration, including gift entry, prospect and constituent management, data import/export, and developing standard and custom reports. Raiser’s Edge NXT experience preferred, but willing to provide training on RE NXT for those with Raiser’s Edge version 7 experience
  • Experience with gift processing, posting, and reconciling with finance
  • Special event experience
  • Highly organized, with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines efficiently and simultaneously
  • Resourceful, with the ability to solve problems creatively and with minimal supervision
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal/human relations skills including the ability to establish effective and productive working relationships among a diverse constituent population in a professional, tactful manner at all times
  • Familiarity and experience with direct mail, monthly and workplace giving, and other applicable fundraising techniques.
  • Proactive interest CRM trends and innovative technology
  • Ability to work with in collaborative environment as a valued team member
  • Ability to work well with a variety of our external constituents as well
  • High degree of proficiency and analytic skills relative to technology hardware and software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality to protect the interests of our constituents and True Friends
  • Administrative support duties

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay: $22.07-23.63 per hour, depending on experience
